Northwich Firefest is Saturday 7 November at Verdin Park: gates 5pm, bonfire 6.30pm, fireworks 7.30pm. Adults £10, children £5, now run by the town council.

Northwich’s bonfire and fireworks night, Northwich Firefest, is on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Verdin Park, and tickets are on sale now. It is the Saturday after Bonfire Night itself (Thursday 5 November).

The big change this year is who runs it. The Rotary Club, which organised Firefest for many years, has stepped away, and Northwich Town Council has taken the event on. Everything below is from the council’s own Firefest 2026 listing on Visit Northwich and its booking terms, read on 16 October 2026.

Time What happens
5pm Gates open: funfair, food and drink stalls, music
6.30pm Bonfire lit
7.30pm Fireworks display, set to music
9pm Event closes

The council’s terms say timings, entertainment and the layout can change, and the fireworks can be delayed, cut short or cancelled for safety reasons, including high winds. If the event is cancelled, ticket holders will be told about refunds; if it is postponed, tickets may be valid for the new date.

Early bird adult (first two weeks only) £8.50, no longer available

Tickets are sold online only, through visitnorthwich.co.uk, and the terms say they cannot normally be exchanged or transferred and are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. All children must be with an adult. The listing does not set out a ticket for children under 3; if you are taking a toddler, check with the council on 01606 41510 before you book.

What you can and cannot bring

From the council’s booking terms:

  • No dogs or other animals. Assistance dogs are allowed, though the council asks owners to think hard about the noise and crowds.
  • No fireworks, sparklers, flares or other pyrotechnics.
  • No glass bottles or containers, no drones and no laser pointers.
  • Bags may be checked at the gate.
  • The council “may operate restrictions” on bringing alcohol and will say before the night or at the gate.
  • The ground is grass and can be muddy, wet or uneven, so wear boots. If you have access needs, the council asks you to contact it before the event.

Getting there and parking

Verdin Park’s postcode is CW8 1BA. The council has not published any parking or road closure arrangements for Firefest. In the town centre, Baron’s Quay is a free council car park with a four hour maximum stay, and Central Palace Drive is reserved for blue badge holders; the full list is on our parking page. Check roadworks and travel before you set off.

The other fireworks in the district

  • Chester: the Lord Mayor’s Spooktacular Fireworks are a week earlier, on Saturday 31 October at Chester Racecourse. Details on our Chester fireworks page.
  • Ellesmere Port has not had a public display since 2019; the same page explains why.

What we will do with this page

We will add parking, road closure and any alcohol rules when the council publishes them, and say here if the display is called off for the weather. Everything else on in the next six weeks is in what’s on in Chester.
